The Hotel Eden Roc was built in 1971 and acquired by the Kipp-Bechtolsheimer family in 1989. The purchase of the neighbouring former Europe au Lac hotel in 2000 doubled the capacity of the award-winning luxury hotel. The resort was expanded further in 2010 when the Kipp-Bechtolsheimer family took over the neighbouring Ascolago hotel with its 16 rooms and a spacious restaurant, connected it to the main building, and renamed it the Eden Roc Marina.
This merger has resulted in an extensive resort on the shores of Lake Maggiore with a private beach, a spacious panoramic landing stage, 95 luxury rooms and suites, four restaurants and a 2000 sqm spa. During the winter of 2014/2015, 30 rooms in the hotel were completely redesigned and this was followed by the renovation of further rooms in the winter of 2015/2016.
